The Principal's Principles

A Middle School Principal, striving to make the world a better place, one day at a time.

About Me

I’m a middle school principal who strives to make the world a better place, one day at a time. Prior to serving as the Principal, I was an Assistant Principal, Teacher, and School Custodian. I’m currently in my 9th year as an educator, and think it is the most important job in the world. You can follow me here on my blog or via Twitter.

In my personal life, my wife Jennifer and I are the proud parents of two rescue dogs, Leyland (a lab/shepherd mix) and Sparky (a beagle). We’re big baseball fans (Go Tigers) and enjoy time with our family and friends.

  2. Your dogs are so precious. I just got a 6 week old lab/mix named Tilly. I am a student in EDM310 at the University of South Alabama, and this was a wonderful way to begin your blog.

I am writing about the importance of constant feedback, students to teacher and suddenly while looking for articles, i am in your bog. I am an ESL teacher/ student in the B.A. in English Teaching . I share your view about meaningful formative feedback. I try to get comments from my students weekly and I make sure I comment on their comments as well, so we understand each other. I am an enthusiast too, I love teaching and really enjoyed reading your blog. There are not enough enthusiasts in teaching, I love to know there´s one more out there.
